WIHD Adult Health Services, a non-profit out patient clinic located in Valhalla, NY, just 30 minutes from NYC, is looking for a part-time adult psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services to patients which include initial psychiatric intake, medication management and follow up care. The candidate must have graduated from an accredited medical school and residency program in psychiatry and have an unrestricted New York medical license. Board eligibility or certification is required.

Ideally, the candidate will have a minimum of three years experience as an attending physician in an outpatient setting and have cared for individuals with intellectual/ developmental disabilities (I/DD). Personal experience with individuals with I/DD may be substituted for employment experience. Candidates should have a strong commitment to people with disabilities and an equal commitment to collaborating with colleagues including caregivers, families and referral sources to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive, patient-focused service.
Prior use of electronic health record and knowledge of medical documentation required by Medicare/Medicaid are preferred.
